Raw Material Closed-Loop Extraction Solvent Recovery Oil + Byproduct

Every gram of solvent comes back, by design. Oil Squeeze's patented closed-loop solvent extraction holds raw material in a narrow 90–98°F band — well under the point where heat starts breaking down flavonoids and nutrients — then recovers the solvent and returns it to the loop before the next batch starts.

Raw material in

Nuts, seeds, cacao, botanicals, fish waste, or organic scrap — loaded whole, raw or roasted, no pre-treatment required beyond testing.

Closed-loop cycle

Solvent circulates through the reactor at 90–98°F — the same cycle whether it's a pound in a batch reactor or a thousand pounds an hour on a continuous line.

Solvent returns

Vapor is recovered and condensed back into the working charge — nothing vented to atmosphere, nothing to make up between batches.

04 · Separate

Two outputs

Oil comes out one side; a nutrient-complete byproduct comes out the other — often valuable enough for a second product line on its own.

01 · Food & Beverage

Cacao was the original problem this system was built to solve — one region of Colombia grows cacao especially rich in flavonoids and antioxidants that most extraction heat destroys. Running cool preserves them; the same process has pulled the fat back out of fried potato chips, recycling the oil straight back into the fryer.

02 · Cosmetics & Pharmaceuticals

FDA-regulated essential and "essence" oils for skin treatments and aromatherapy — Argan oil, marketed as "Moroccan Oil," is one of the fastest-growing categories, alongside Omega-3 and Omega-6 recovered from fish-industry waste.

03 · Cannabis & Hemp

Fifteen years designing systems for indoor and greenhouse cultivation. On extraction: solvent (covered by two patents), CO2, alcohol, and mechanical methods, plus full design-build across civil, mechanical, fire, electrical, and security engineering.

04 · Bio-diesel

Feedstock crops, animal fat, and organic waste converted once free fatty acid levels are tested and, if needed, brought down. The glycerin byproduct refines further to commercial, food, cosmetic, or pharmaceutical grade.

05 · Aviation Fuel

Camelina sativa — an oilseed 30–40% oil by weight — blends with plant, synthetic, or petroleum-based fuels. Jatropha curcas is also being watched as a biodiesel blend up to 20%.

06 · Shale Oil

Unconventional oil recovered via pyrolysis, hydrogenation, or thermal dissolution, then upgraded to refinery-grade feedstock — a newer area where the system's design has real potential to adapt.

Frequently Asked

Questions buyers ask before they spec a system.

Why 90–98°F instead of colder or hotter?

That band sits well under roughly 104°F, the point where flavonoids and other delicate compounds start to break down. Hotter trades away the properties that make the oil valuable; much colder adds cost and complexity without a corresponding benefit for most raw materials.

What does "closed-loop" actually mean?

Solvent vapor never vents to atmosphere. It's recovered and condensed back into the working charge inside the same sealed circuit, so a run starts and ends with the same solvent.

What happens to the material left over after extraction?

Because the process never gets hot, the proteins and nutrients in the spent material stay largely intact. That byproduct is often complete enough to sell or use on its own — a second product from the same batch.

How does it scale from a bench test to a production line?

The batch and continuous systems run the same patented closed-loop chemistry — scaling changes the hardware footprint and throughput (1–1,000 lb per batch vs. 1,000+ lb/hr continuous), not the underlying process.

Can a system be containerized or built for a remote site?

Yes. Builds are specified around the site as much as the raw material — containerized and modular configurations for remote or temporary locations, and climate-hardened enclosures for desert, tropical, or cold-climate installations.

What's included beyond the hardware?

Custom system design and fabrication, facility design/build with safety and compliance sign-off, patent licensing, equipment lease and rental, contract extraction services, operator training and certification, and product development and testing.
